So I haven’t posted a blog in a few weeks and I must say I do have a good excuse. I was out and about traveling to Germany and United Kingdom to meet TV actors. Now if that isn’t a good excuse, I don’t know what is.
Anyways now it’s time for fashion and time is exactly what I want to talk about. While fashion is nothing but great there is one thing that always brings me down. The fact that as Heidi Klum would say on the TV Show Project Runway say: “one day you’re in, the next day you’re out”.
Just the other day (like 2 weeks ago LOL), I was looking at the coverage of the MET Gala 2012 which celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum‘s (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute (Museum of Costume Art) and of course I thought it would be really nice to blog about my favorite red carpet dresses. But before I could gather my thoughts together to make post a blog, it was old news.
However there is still something I would like to mention about the MET Gala. There was one person I saw at the Gala which I was so surprised that I was actually able to recognize.
Well for those of you reading who don’t know who she is. This lady is Anna Wintour, She has been the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, since 1988. You would not be impressed if you knew how I knew who she was. As an avid moviegoer I watched the movie ‘The devil wears Prada’ upon which I decided to read the book. I consulted with my boyfriend (inside joke) and learned the author of the book, Lauren Weisberger was a formal personal assistant of Anna Wintour which people claim the fashion editor in the plot of the book/movie is based on. And that is how I recognized her. Still impressed? Well that is what I call a journey 2 fashion moment.
Ps. Talking about Anna did you hear about how she allegedly banned Kim Kardashian from the Met Gala? So that’s how you know who decide who/what is in or not. Want to know more about Anna Wintour, I definitely recommend watching “The Semtember Issue“
