MTV EMA 2013

This year the the MTV European Music Awards celebrated its 10th anniversary and was held in Amsterdam at the Ziggo Dome. I have been looking forward to this event since it was announced that it would be held in The Netherlands and November 10, 2013 was the day that Amsterdam turned into party central. Unfortunately I was not able to score tickets for the live event, however Imagine Dragons, one of the act performing for the show played at another location (Heineken Music Hall) just a few hundred meters away from the main venue. Tickets to see them perform was ONLY 5 Euro, which made it an opportunity I knew I could not miss.

MTV EMA was live streamed from the main venue to the Heineken Music Hall and before Imagine Dragons’ performance of the song that would be shown on MTV EMA, they performed a short set list of 5 songs just for the people at the venue. It made it feel like a small intimate mini concert. While I was not at the main venue, I had the time of my life with Imagine Dragons, their energy and the fact that they didn’t only play the song for the MTV EMA but others as well was great.
