Nothing is as simple or as difficult as pulling of the wash & go hairstyle when you have natural black hair. Going by the name it should be simple right? Just was your hair and you are ready to go. But nothing could not be less true. If you have natural hair there is a step that is crucial to pulling of the Wash & Go.

What you need to know is that after washing your hair, while it is important to leave the hear in its natural state a little help from Mr. Conditioner is essential as it will provide ease when styling and prevent your hair from frizzing. My version of the wash & go is to wash my hair let air dry. So after washing your hair just slightly shake your hair to remove the excess water. Then while the hair is still wet add a conditioning cream to the hair, starting from the scalp to the end of hair strands. You can use your fingers our a wide tooth comb to make sure the conditioning cream is distributed evenly among your hair. The conditioning cream I use is Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream.
If you do not want to air dry the wash & go, you can always opt to blow dry your hair using a diffuser. The final step after your hair is dry is to take pick comb pick out the curls at the root to add volume then your set, ready to go.
Tip: Give your hair an extra boost by adding a few teaspoons of your favourite natural hair oils to your jar of leave-in conditioner. Here is a list of my favourites hair oils.
- Castor Oil: Great for thicker hair and for sealing moisture into your hair.
- Jojoba Oil: Gives your hair a healthy shine.
- Avocado Oil: Filled with minerals and vitamins, which helps strengthen your hair
