With Spring here, I did some Spring cleaning and found some old Polaroid pictures I had taken over the past three years from when I got into using the classic Polaroid camera’s. I thought it was about time I put the pictures in an album. How outdated it feels to put pictures in an album nowadays. With apps such as Instagram, who actually prints out pictures anymore. Fortunately Polaroid leaves you with no other option as the whole point is instant pictures.
I bought an album from The Impossible Project where I also purchase my instant films for the three Polaroid camera’s I own (Yes, I do own three LOL) and spent the first sunny Sunday in Spring making what I now call my Polaroid Memory Book. What I did not realize is the soothing feeling you get simply putting pictures into a book. Rearranging the pictures so they tell a visual story and holding each picture thinking of the wonderful memories that you tried to capture in that moment.
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time
I knew what happiness was.
Let the memory live again.
There is something so remarkable of holding picture in your hand, I would suggest to everyone to get the best pictures printed out. Luckily nowadays you don’t have own a Polaroid camera to get instant pictures (unless you wanted to, of course). There are several apps on the market one of those which is LALALAB which offers you the opportunity to print pictures currently on your mobile phone. Through the app you can print pictures in any format including the vintage Polaroid format or even make your own personalized calendar or magnets.
Let me know in the comments do you still print out pictures or all your pictures on
social media?
