In the summer I got super excited when one of my best friends invited me wedding to her Fall wedding. She has been a long time close friend and to be present to share an important milestone in her life was utterly beautiful.
The wedding ceremony was held at noon and then followed by a British high tea reception with scones and everything. The wedding took place in the chapel of an old castle and the reception was held in the castle garden.
For my outfit of the day, I drew inspiration from outfits worn at the royal ascot race day, which is a proper British event famously known for the many different hats and fascinators worn by the British upper class women. After spending some time thinking about what I would wear, I managed to put a chic outfit black and white outfit together. The outfit consisted out of a white blouse with black bow and a black and white skirt with rectangular print reminiscent of “compositie” paintings by Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan.
I completed the outfit by wearing black pantyhose and dark blue sandals that had decorative stones on them. For accessories I wore a black clutch bag and a small cute white and black fascinator that was curled into several bows which made it look like a tiny doll hat.
Let me know in the comments if you also love fascinators or think that headpieces for women are outdated or only belong to the upper class and royals.
Stay Fashionable, Miss George
