Happy Valentine’s Day to all my lovely fashionista’s. As someone who in the past disliked valentine’s day, who thought of it as day that society reminds single people that they are less of a person for not having a significant other. It felt quite unusual becoming so found of valentine’s day.
A while ago I came to realisation that a lack of a partner does not make one a less of a person. There are many relationships that are filled with love, be it from your family and/or friends. And even if you have neither, the most important love is the one you have for YOUrself.
One of my favourite songs that I feel is suitable for this post and for valentine’s day is: Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld.
Check out her music video here.
Gonna love myself, no, I don’t need anybody else. I love me.
My valentine’s day celebrations already started a week ago with me going to the ladies night movie premiere of 50 Shades of Darker with a girlfriend. A fun afternoon filled with hot guys, live music, goodies bites and drinks. If you follow me on snapchat (username: journey2fashion) you also heard my story about winning a special goodie that was raffled between the attendees. To say I was shocked was an understatement.
Say what you want about the movie, but I really enjoyed the afternoon. That is the beauty of loving yourself, there is no one to give account to but yourself. So if there is something you want to do, go for it and if there is something you want to buy, buy it.
Stay tuned for part two of my Love Yourself post, where I will show you an amazing gift I purchased for myself.
Stay Fashionable, Miss George
