Sometimes you just have to be spontaneous and take the train and go shopping. That is exactly what I did, when I saw the newsletter in my e-mailbox of Zizzi Fashion letting Dutch readers know that the next day there would be the grand opening of a Zizzi store in the city of Delft. That is when I knew exactly what my plans for the next day would be.
I have never been to the city of Delft before, but there is no time like the present. After visiting the city, I definitely recommend everyone to visit the city at least once. It is a beautiful city in The Netherlands that is full of Dutch history. Delft has so many things to see and do, from shopping to museums to guided city tours and even boat trips through the canals.
Zizzi has a webshop (link here) and 6 stores in The Netherlands located in different cities around the country. I also read on the website of blogger Wondervol (link here) that at the end of July, a new store will open in the city Haarlem as well, which I think is fantastic. If you read my blog, you know that Zizzi is one of my absolute favourite stores in The Netherlands. I usually shop at several Zizzi stores as each store offers a different selection of clothing from the the Zizzi collection. With the Grand Opening of Zizzi Delft, I was curious to see what the store looked like and also the new items from the June collection I read they would only start selling on the day of the opening.
The grand opening of Zizzi Delft was actually the re-opening of thier store. They previously had a store at another location in the city, however they have now moved to a bigger more central location in the city. Visiting the store I was impressed with the layout of the store, it had a lot of room to walk around and see the collection. The store also displayed the clothing in a very organised and visible way that you could almost see the entire collection no matter where in the store you were standing. With friendly and very helpful shopping assistants the new Zizzi store offers a great shopping experience.
What is that 50% card in the picture you may ask? Well for the grand opening Zizzi Delft offered the first 20 people to arrive at the store a golden ticket that gives the shopper 50% discount on the total purchase for that day. And as diehard fan of Zizzi Fashion, I was one of first 20 people to arrive at the store and was given a Zizzi golden ticket. I really felt like Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. So my initial plan to buy only one item turned into a big Zizzi Haul.
To top off a great day spent at Zizzi Delft, I also met Els Sprenkeling, curvy fashion blogger of xl Fashionfile (link here). It was really nice meeting her in person since she was the first Dutch plus size blogger I started following before starting my blog in 2012. True story: I found her blog by googling how to accessorise a dress I had bought and she had a post showing how to accessorise the exact same dress. Curious to see which dress, link here.
Looking forward to showing my purchase in upcoming outfit of the day post. Stay tuned!
Stay Fashionable, Miss George
