Greetings from the “One Happy Island” Aruba. Here on a short vacation, enjoying the sun and visiting friends & family. Thought it would be nice to share some of the pictures taken on the island.
Here is a picture taken at a beach called Santo Largo. It is a hidden gem, mostly known the by locals. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a very calm beach, this is the perfect place to go to.
A day at the beach in Aruba is always fun, but this time around I also decided to try something different. I went to my very first yoga class at the beach. The class was given by yoga teacher Dagmara Avanindra who also teaches at a hotel and at the yoga house Island Yoga.
It was a total different experience compared to practicing yoga at a yoga house or even at the gym. It required more focus as your are standing on sand instead of a flat surface and also had take into account the sea breeze, which made balancing a tad more difficult. But nothing compares doing the Sun Salutation while watching the sun setting in front of you.

Something interesting that I also wanted to share with you was my visit to San Nicolas, which is the the 2nd largest city of Aruba. For the past few years San Nicolaas has become a city filled with vibrant street art. Beautiful murals, with more and more being added every year. I would recommend a visit to San Nicolas to anyone interested in Art. It is amazing to see street art with a caribbean touch. Something you do not see everyday.
