It has been a year now since my last shopping spree in the USA (link here). Having spent a whole lot of money shopping there, I knew I had to take it easy for the next months. Those months actually turned into a year. It went by so quickly, but looking at my blog you can probably tell due to the lack of posts. When you don’t really shop for a year, there is not much very much to talk about. But September is here, which is like the new year of fashion and I could not be more excited.
For my return to the world of shopping, I went to the Dutch department store De Bijenkorf. While I was not planning on buying anything in particular, I did have my eye out for a bag. If you follow me on Pinterest you may have noticed that I updated and re-organised my designer bags board (link here). For the longest time I wanted to purchase a nice designer tote, that could double as a work bag as well as an everyday bag.
Walking around in handbags area of the department store there were so many choices, from luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton to contemporary brands like Michael Kors. I could not resist and decided to purchase a bag. After strolling for a while and looking a different bags, I made up my mind and went for the Le Pliage tote bag from Longchamp.
The bag is a well known classic (work) tote bag with a simple design, however it is also very functional due to its size. It is also very durable as it made from nylon.
My most used work bag at the moment is a Coach canvas bag from the now discontinued Poppy collection. It was the first designer bag I purchased in 2012. Having used a contemporary designer bag for more than six years that is it still as lovely and strong as the year I purchased it, made me realise that I do not need to spend up to 2000 euro/dollar to buy a good quality designer bag that could last me many years and that is the main reason I went for the Longchamp bag.
I am really happy with my Le Pliage tote bag. I purchased it in a size L, (dimensions is 31x30x19 cm) in the colour bilberry. I cannot wait to start wearing it to work. Let me know in the comments what you think of the Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag and if you also own one.
