2018 is definitely the year of the colour yellow. There is no way you could have missed it. Since the beginning of the year yellow starting popping out in every store. By Spring there were yellow tops, dresses and even blazers with flower patterns being advertised and sold everywhere. And even if you have not been shopping, on social media the trend reached massive popularity and is even being called #yellowmellow trend.

For fashion lovers this trend should not be any surprise. As far as 2016 Beyonce was already sporting a Robberto Cavalli yellow dress fresh of the Fall 2016 ready-to-wear runway collection in her hold up video. And with ready-to-wear collections being made one year in advance, we know that this 70’s inspired yellow would make a big splash starting Fall 2017.

With Spring and Summer behind us, we now see stores still continuing the yellowmellow hype. Some stores not only bringing in sweaters and jackets to keep us warm during the coming colder months, but also with clothing items that are a few shades darker than canary yellow, such as ochre. Some ochre sweaters and top shown below.

The colour yellow is also seamlessly being incorporated with another Fall trend, which is plaid (checks) or also know as lumber jack squares. The most popular pattern being the (grey) glen plaid shown below.
