Even in a world hit with a pandemic, travel restrictions and lockdowns, I am still able to find and do activities that bring me happiness. Like spending more time with family, forming deeper connection with friends or even going for a long walks in nature. What has also brought me joy is my latest purchase. The Lou Camera bag from fashion house Saint Laurent. A bag I had on my wish list for the longest time.
Due to the current Dutch government restrictions stores are temporarily closed to the public. Therefore I was not able to purchase the bag at a Saint Laurent location. Thankfully with the wonderful help of a Saint Laurent Sales Assistant, I was able to purchase the bag without physically visiting the store. For me this was not an issue as I had visited the Saint Laurent store in Amsterdam before the pandemic to have look at the bag. As a result after purchasing the bag it was nicely packaged and sent via secure mail and delivered within 24 hours.
Here it is the Lou Camera bag from Saint Laurent. A beautiful small sized shoulder bag made in Italy from 100% Calfskin quilted leather in color Granite.
At the front of the Lou Camera bag is the Saint Laurent monogram, which has the YSL initials interlaced in metal.
The bag also comes with a removable leather tassel.
This type of designer bag is referred to as 'camera' bag due to its shape and size as it was able to fit a handled camera back in the day, but nowadays it is used to fit all the necessary essentials such as a mobile phone, keys and a wallet. The dimensions are 23 x 16 x 6 CM (9 x 6.2 x 2.3 Inches).
The Lou Camera bag opens via a zip closure and features an adjustable leather strap for the bag to be worn on a single shoulder or as Crossbody across the the shoulder.
I am super pleased with this purchase. It was quite an experience buying a designer item without being in the store, but the service was still amazing. Even if you are not in position to afford a luxury item, try to find activities that will bring you happiness, because we all deserve nice things.
Do what makes you happy.
